Just last February 14-17, 2013, Mater Dei College celebrated her Pearl Founding Anniversary with music, dancing and lots of fun! One of the highlights of this grand event is the musical play, Sound of Music, which is an adaptation of the 1965 movie of the same title.

The musicale was held at the Activity Center of Mater Dei College on the evening of the 15th and 17th of February. Beautiful songs, originally composed by Rodgers and Hammerstein, filled the air as the vibrant voices of the students who acted and sang on stage reverberated in the small auditorium. All singing was performed live on stage, as well as the piano accompaniment which was rendered by the musical director and scriptwriter herself, Mrs. Blanche Mascariñas Laborte.
